Assembling The PRCP PUSHROD KIT
NOTE:
THIS PUSHROD END IS DESIGNED TO BE HELD WITH MEDIUM CA
Even though this may seem like a lot of reading, please take the extra time for reading it all to insure a perfect fit and long lasting assembly. Once you understand how this goes together the actual assembly and installation can be acomplished in a matter of a few minutes. Thanks

Assemble
the Sleeves, Studs, Links First
The Push Rod Sleeve: Apply a small drop of red Locktite onto the end of the 3 mm threaded stud. Screw the 3 mm Threaded Stud into the sleeve from the large opening in the sleeve. After stud is tightly into sleeve, screw on the ball link while allen driver is still in Sleeve/Stud head. Screw Link on about half of the thread length of the Stud. Assemble second Sleeve same as the first one.
Prepare One End of the Carbon Fiber Rod and Test Fit
Lightly sand one CF rod end the approximate length of the end sleeve. Test fit the sleeve assembly onto one end of the carbon rod. Make sure that the rod installs beyond the hole in the sleeve and bottoms against the stud head. Mark depth ON the CF Rod with a pencil. Place CF Rod next to Sleeve. The End of the CF rod should be about 1/16 from the edge of the taper when the mark on the CF rod is even with the edge of the Sleeve.
Glue One End On.
Remove end. Place 8 drops of MEDIUM CA into the sleeve end, driping the
drops so they coat around the inside of the sleeve.
Coat the end of the CF rod with medium CA about half the distance to be
glued. Holding
sleeve so rod end opening is up, "Quickly" slide the rod into the rod
end. Don’t stop or hesitate, just go for it.
Wipe any excess CA from rod and fitting immediatly.
Fill the side holes with a small amount of CA until flush with outer
diameter of sleeve.
This acts as a further mechanical lock for the sleeve.
Excess CA can be removed with a cloth and Acetone.
Setting the CF Rod Depth Location on the Second Sleeve Assembly
After the one end is ready and glued on to the CF Push Rod, attach it to the servo, running The CF Rod between the boom struts. DO NOT GLUE ON the second Sleeve Assembly at this time. TEST FIT to CF Rod by sliding Second Sleeve onto the end of the CF Rod, insuring that it is fully engaged. Sand CF Rod lightly if necessary to insure Full Depth engagement. Take a piece of tape and Stick it on theCF rod, right up to the edge of the temporaily installed sleeve, to mark the depth of engagement into the rod. Remove the sleeve from theCF rod, place the assembled Sleeve next to the CF rod and mark the SLEEVE with a pencil to indicate the depth of the Rod on the outer of the Sleeve. The mark should end up about 1/16 inch from where the Sleeve begins to taper down to the 3 mm Stud. Remove tape from CF rod.
Measure
the Rod for Correct Length before Gluing Second End On
Next install the sleeve and link assembly on the tail
bell crank ball, being careful not to remove your pencil mark. Adjust the bellcrank so that there is the desired pitch. Hold
the push rod next to the sleeve, check the tail blade angle and the servo arm
position and adjust either until they are where you want them to be, at neutral
rudder stick. When you are satisfied with all, mark the CF ROD to match the mark
you made on the Sleeve. Carefully cut the rod with a Dremel cut off wheel if
possible (a saw can splinter the rod). It is better to cut CF Rod a little long and
trim down a little at a time to get the exact length needed, than to be short.
CA this end the same as the instructions for the first end, once you are
satisfied that the length is correct to give you the servo position and the
blade pitch you want.
